POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES : Working under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer this individual will be a part of the Dues Department which receives, reconciles, and posts members various forms of dues payments. Works with internal union staff and union signatory employers to address issues.

Examples of Duties :

Responsible for coming up with suggestions for the Department.

Will work to ensure that the priorities of the Dues Department are being carried out.

Responsible for the daily reconciliation of the daily deposits from the Lock Box and daily bank deposits.

Responsible for the distribution of work on a daily basis.

Compiles, processes, maintains, and updates membership records, status, dues deductions and adjustments and various other types of information and maintains applicable hard copy information.

Analyzes, monitors, and reports on dues collection & inconsistencies in dues / fees deductions.

Handles and documents all dues check-off issues with Employers and Self-Pay members.

Communication with members, Employers, and relevant union staff to resolve dues-related issues.

Maintains current tracking & filing system for Dues collection.

Produces written and typed correspondence, memos, and other documents as required for this department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS : Graduation from an accredited college or university in a relevant field or equivalent experience that would provide for the following knowledge of, skills & abilities.

Data entry, data management, and supervisory experience.

Experience with labor unions, union operations and union reporting requirements desirable.

Ability to move multiple projects at one time.

Professional Customer Service experience to attend to guests, members, and staff in person and by phone.

Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to maintain recordkeeping protocols.

Ability to effectively plan and implement work and manage time, as part of a team and individually.

Modern Computer and Online technology, video conferencing.

Advanced use of Microsoft Suite, including Excel.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

Work is generally performed in an office setting with prolonged periods of sitting and work on computer.

All employees are required to be fully vaccinated and report their vaccination status as a condition of employment.

All employees must abide by USWW Safety Guidelines, including the required use of face covering while working

Bilingual English / Spanish (written & verbal) is preferred, but not required.

SALARY & BENEFITS :

Hourly Salary is competitive and based on Staff Union Contract.
