The department of Chemistry and Physics at Emmanuel College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in the Fall of 2026. The applicant should be comfortable teaching undergraduate organic chemistry and biochemistry. Faculty teach the equivalent of three courses per semester, which may include labs, use inclusive teaching practices that support a diverse student body, and participate in departmental and college-wide service activities. The hired faculty will be expected to develop a sustainable research program involving undergraduate students within the area of organic chemistry or biochemistry. The faculty will benefit from mentorship and career development in the department. The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Emmanuel College offers an ACS approved degree and is located in the Wilkens Science Center (2009), blocks from the Longwood Medical Area, equipped with excellent facilities and instrumentation. Requirements :
Candidates must have a PhD in chemistry and a commitment to teaching and research with undergraduate students; postdoctoral experience is preferred. Candidates capable of teaching organic chemistry and biochemistry are preferred.

The posted salary range reflects the good-faith compensation estimate for this position. The actual pay offered will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity factors. $80,000-85,000
