Substation Design Engineer

Overview:

Substation Design Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering, substation design, and AutoCAD Electrical/3D modeling. You will play a critical part in translating project scopes into detailed engineering designs for electrical substation projects.

As a Design Engineer you will work closely with Project Engineers to develop technical drawings, models, and documentation that support construction, maintenance, and system reliability improvements across electrical substation portfolios throughout Northern California.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with substation design with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent design software.
• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Degree
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuitry, and utility substation operations
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, one-lines, schematics, and construction standards
• M365 Experience (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
• Organizational & Time Management skills

Bonus Skills:

• Professional Engineer (PE) License from BPELSG.
• Any prior experience designing substation components, systems, or layouts for a utility company
