Principal Electrical Engineer

Insight are partnered with a robotics company who need a Principal Electrical Engineer to own the electrical backbone of their product. This isn't just a design role; it's an ownership role. They are looking for someone who can balance start-up speed with production rigor, taking systems from first principles to mass manufacturing.

You will architect electrical systems powering their fleet. From designing motor controllers and power electronics to integrating sensors, you will lead the charge from prototype to pilot builds.

What you need :

10+ years electrical engineering experience (ideally with focus on concept to production)

Deep experience in circuit design, motor control, mixed-signal circuitry, and PCB layout with strong DFM / DFT

Experience working with partners to optimize BOMs and scale systems

Willingness to mentor engineers and build a high-performance hardware culture

Familiarity with power / battery systems and sensor integration
