Working Title: Live Model, Art Department
The purpose of this recruitment is to produce a pool of qualified applicants to call upon for temporary/emergency Live Model appointments.
This is a Temporary and/or hourly intermittent appointment. No probationary period. No permanent status is granted.
Successful candidates in these temporary appointments may be appointed from a few days up to one year depending on the assignment. Temporary appointments must end on or before the end of the fiscal year, with the possibility of renewal if funds and/or program needs exist.
Classification Title: Casual Worker
Classification Salary Range: $15.50 - $140 hourly
The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
About the Position
Under the immediate supervision of the the Academic Resource Manager and in collaboration with the Department Chair, the casual worker performs non-bargaining unit work that is temporary, part-time or intermittent in nature. Live Models for life drawing classes hold poses from 30 seconds to as long as 45 minutes. While athletic ability is not required, body awareness and the ability to twist, turn, bend and accentuate the 3-dimensional qualities of the figure in poses is highly desirable. The work is performed under supervision of the class instructor during class hours and models must be able to work with instructors, be punctual, and record hours after each working session.
