About the job Task Order Manager
The Task Order Manager is in charge of managing, coordinating, and carrying out task orders that are given out under government or commercial contracts. This job makes sure that task orders are delivered on time, within budget, and within the scope of the contract, while also following all rules and regulations set by the organization. The Task Order Manager is the main point of contact for stakeholders and is in charge of cross-functional teams that work together to meet contract goals.
Main Duties :
Oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned task orders, from start to finish.
Act as the main point of contact between the client, the contracting officers, and the internal project teams.
Make sure that the terms of the contract, the performance work statements (PWS), and any other rules that apply are followed.
Keep an eye on the schedules, budgets, deliverables, and performance metrics for task orders.
Find risks and come up with ways to lessen them to make sure the project goes well.
Prepare and give stakeholders status reports, briefings, and other documents.
Plan staffing, the performance of subcontractors, and the use of resources
Manage changes, modifications, and changes to the scope
Make sure that quality assurance standards and performance benchmarks are met.
Help with writing proposals, responding to task orders, and renewing contracts as needed
Necessary Skills :
A bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, or a related field is required. A master's degree is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience managing tasks, programs, or projects
Showed that they could handle government contracts or contracts for big businesses
A good understanding of the rules for following contracts, managing performance, and reporting
Excellent skills in both speaking and writing
Ability to handle many tasks at once while working from home
Being good with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with federal government contracts, such as knowing about FAR and DFARS
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or something similar
Experience leading teams that work across departments or in different parts of the world
Previous experience helping with task order proposals or changes to contracts
Annual Pay :
The salary range is $95,000 to $125,000 a year, depending on experience and qualifications.
