[job_card.job_description]Provide independent, in-house ED coverage during the 12-hour night shift. Manage an average patient census of 2 patients per hour (approximately 24 patients per 12-hour shift). Perform all necessary standard ED procedures. Manage an average of 1.8 admissions while on shift. Education : MD or DO. Board Status : Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine is REQUIRED (FM or IM backgrounds will not be accepted). Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience. Licensure : An active Illinois State License is REQUIRED. We will not accept IMLC candidates. Certifications : ACLS, DEA, and CSR licenses are required. - Night Shift Focus : The schedule is strictly for night shifts : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM (12-hour shifts).
- High-Acuity Setting : The ED is a Level II Trauma Center with 13 beds (serving an 81-bed hospital) and an annual volume of 28,000.
- Solo Coverage : You will be working single coverage overnight.
- Required Procedures : You must be proficient in standard ED procedures, including intubation, central line placement, joint reductions, sedation, laceration repair, and lumbar punctures.
- EMR System : The facility uses EPIC for all charting.
- Privileging : Full privileges are available, with an estimated credentialing time of 90 days.
