Location:

Job Summary:

• We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our land surveying field crews as Party Chiefs. Generally we operate using highly experience one-man field crews but do accept limited two-man crews.
• As part of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in conducting field surveys for a variety of projects, including boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
• Working closely with project managers and licensed surveyors, you will help collect and record accurate data to support mapping and geospatial projects.

Position:

• Party Chief Responsibilities: Lead field survey crews to perform boundary, topographic, construction staking, and control surveys.
• Operate and maintain survey instruments, including GPS, Total Stations, and data collectors.
• Ensure the accuracy of collected data and document field notes clearly and precisely.
• Interpret project plans, survey plats, and specifications to guide field activities.
• Train and supervise crew members, ensuring safety protocols and quality standards are maintained.
• Communicate with project managers regarding project progress and challenges.
• Prepare field sketches and reports for internal and client review.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License; Must be insurable by our auto-insurance policy; generally less than 3 moving violations in the last three years; no DUI / reckless driving in the last 5 years; High school diploma or GED; technical training in land surveying is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of field surveying experience, including crew leadership.
• Proficiency with GPS, Total Stations, and data collection software Strong understanding of survey principles, legal descriptions, and construction staking.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly Non-Exempt; $15.00 - $32.00 DOE After 60 days: Medical, Vision, Dental, and Company-paid basic life insurance.
