CDI Reviewer RN Licensed

A company is looking for a Documentation Quality and Appeals Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Perform record reviews to ensure accurate clinical documentation reflecting Severity of Illness (SOI) and Risk of Mortality (ROM)

Understand legal and compliance issues related to clinical documentation and present findings to clinical and end users

Participate in educational coding sessions and maintain clinical continuing education units (CEUs) as applicable

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Minimum one year experience as a CDI Reviewer in an acute care setting

Minimum of five years of clinical experience in an acute care setting

Working knowledge of DRGs and clinical conditions impacting quality outcomes

Bachelor's Degree required

CCDS or CDIP certification preferred; CCS or concurrent enrollment in an AHIMA-approved coding program within 90 days of hire
