Safety Officer

Description

CDR Emergency Management Inc. is seeking qualified Safety Officers to join our team for a debris removal mission. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all operations are conducted in compliance with OSHA safety regulations maintaining a safe working environment and managing risk on-site. This role is critical to overseeing safety protocols hazard prevention and training during this important emergency response mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop implement and monitor site-specific safety plans for the debris mission.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA environmental and local safety regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections audits and risk assessments.
• Train staff on safety procedures personal protective equipment (PPE) use and emergency response protocols.
• Investigate safety incidents and near-misses recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain records of safety incidents compliance certifications and training.
• Act as the primary contact for all safety-related concerns on-site.
• Participate in developing the IAP regarding safety implications.
