Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position

This position entails scheduling of operative procedures by serving as liaison between patients, residents, and physicians planning to utilize the surgical facilities. Works under the direction of Patient Care Coordinator (PCC), Surgery, and/or the Assistant Patient Care Coordinator (APCC), Surgery

Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma, or equivalent required. Course in medical terminology required; knowledge of surgical terminology preferred. Previous experience in medical field desired. Previous surgery scheduling experience preferred. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 preferred. Knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment preferred. Course in telephone communication desired; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualificatoins to perform the essential functions of this position.

Starting Hourly Rate $22.48
