- Responsible for the daily operations of the sterile processing department
- Responsible for the supervision of staff assigned to sterile processing
- Coordinates the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packing and sterilization of instrumentation
- Accountable for maintaining the established standards of quality for the department
- Assist in the development and review of policy and procedures as they apply to sterile processing
- Assist with sterile processing staff education, training, development and competency
- Prioritize workflow based on the surgical schedule and case volume
- Review sterilization logs and scan documentation into CensiTrack
- Check sterile trays and supplies for integrity and expiration dates
- Act as a liaison between doctors, staff and vendors
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the department
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in Leadership as a Lead Tech Supervisor in a Trauma facilityFamiliarity of AAMI and AORN Standards and regulatory agency requirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentGraduate of an Accredited School of Surgical Technology or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) requiredFire Safety within 90-daysAssociation of Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Certificate requiredPreferred :
