SCOPE : The role is responsible for managing all workplace safety and environmental compliance activities across the facility. This includes conducting training, audits, inspections, and ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations. This role is also responsible for safety reporting, emergency preparedness, and continuous improvement initiatives-while supporting a strong safety culture and preventing regulatory violations.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / EXERIENCE :

• Bachelor's in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Associate degree with relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, NFPA, or CHST) and 3+ years of hands-on experience can be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years of industrial experience in safety, environmental programs, or regulatory compliance
• Experience with workplace safety audits, risk assessments, emergency response planning, and environmental reporting
• Basic understanding of SPCC, SWPPP, VOC, and TCEQ reporting requirements
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead safety meetings and training sessions at all levels
• Ability to travel to other locations and perform site wide evaluations
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
