The UT Southwestern Department of Emergency Medicine is made of physicians, trainees, and staff members who are committed to furthering the education, research, and patient care of emergency medicine in Dallas and beyond. While the emergency department is where we often treat and care for patients, it is not our sole focus of attention. Emergencies begin outside the hospital whether in the confines of our homes or on a rain-slicked roadside therefore, it is our responsibility to ensure and strengthen each link in our communities' chains of survival and recovery. Our divisions of Emergency & Disaster Global Health, Emergency Medical Services, General Emergency Medicine, and Medical Toxicology advocate as public educators for violence and injury prevention within each of their specialties.

Job Summary

This is an opportunity to join a team of Emergency Medicine professionals providing care at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital (CUH), Parkland Hospital, and Parkland Urgent Care. This provider will split time between the three locations when needed. Parkland s Urgent Care functions as a free-standing ER. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and want to be a part of a dynamic team providing care in Emergency Medicine, this could be for you! 12hr shifts in Urgent Care and 8hr shifts at CUH and Parkland Main ER. Required Night and weekend coverage as scheduled. Two years experience in Emergency Room setting preferred. We re looking for an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Experience and Education

• Master s degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program. Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.
• Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by Texas State Board of Nursing. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing. Current applicable American Heart Association or Red Cross Life Support certification(s) based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers. OR
• Graduate of a Master s degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification required.
• Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross based on UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
• Two Years relevant clinical experience in Emergency Room or Urgent Care highly preferred.
