Pay rate: $30-$33 hourly

2 Years Experience required.

MUST BE EXPERIENCED WITH ROBOTICS/DAVINCI, & TOTAL JOINTS and also ORTHO CASES

Position Summary:


The Surgical Technician assists surgeons and the operating room team by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and providing instruments and supplies during surgical procedures. This role is essential to ensuring patient safety, surgical efficiency, and adherence to sterile technique.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms prior to surgical procedures, including setting up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Scrub in and maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and pass instruments, sutures, and supplies accurately and efficiently
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and skin preparation
• Perform surgical counts (sponges, needles, instruments) in collaboration with the circulating nurse
• Handle specimens according to facility policy
• Clean, restock, and prepare the OR for subsequent cases
• Follow infection control, safety standards, and hospital policies at all times
• Assist with emergency procedures as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred or required per facility policy
• Current BLS certification
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile technique
• Ability to remain focused and perform well in high-pressure environments
