About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for all aspects of Engineering, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability in the software engineering department.
• Grow and maintain a highly skilled Engineering team to meet department and company objectives.
• Collaborate with Sales and customers on product identification and market direction.
• Work with other department leads to contribute to cross‑functional excellence.
• Ensure the platform's scalability, reliability, and performance as it grows to meet the needs of our enterprise clients.
• Own Engineering standards and best practices, including the design review process.
• Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent by promoting a culture of learning and growth within the software engineering team.
• Identify, recommend, and implement new systems, tools, processes, and technologies to improve design, organizational processes, and decision‑making, speed to market, and product maintenance.
• Track industry standard benchmarks and drive achievement of best‑in‑class product specifications and advanced development methods across the organization.

Qualifications/Skills

• Deep experience in SAAS/platform architecture, cloud technologies, and best practices for software development and delivery.
• Exceptional problem‑solving and organizational abilities, and a track record of making sound decisions in high‑pressure situations.
• Strong problem analysis and solution skills in dealing with complex technical issues.
• Extensive experience with prototype, preproduction, and production product launches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• A demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and engineering excellence.

Educational/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• 5-10 years of Engineering Management at a leadership level.

Compensation

$185,000-200,000
