[job_card.job_description]Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent) 6+ years relevant experience (flexible for exceptional backgrounds) Strong mechanical / electrical / electronic aptitude; programming familiarity preferred Experience with special machinery, plant commissioning, and PLCs (TwinCAT, Siemens S7 / TIA-Portal) Knowledge of drive / control technologies Able to work independently with strong customer-facing professionalism Willingness for frequent travel, including international assignments
Sr. Commissioning Engineer- PLC, Mechanical / Electrical Test Systems (60% travel)
Location : Indianapolis, IN
Compensation : $100K–$120K
Industry : Aerospace / Defense / Test Systems
Citizenship : U.S. Citizen required for security / clearance purposes
Travel : Up to 60% (includes a 6-week training assignment in Germany)
We’re seeking a skilled Sr. Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of advanced test systems used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities :
- Commission test benches and related software
- Conduct metrology investigations and system analyses
- Verify functionality of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control subsystems
- Coordinate commissioning activities with internal teams and external partners
- Serve as the primary on-site technical contact for customers
- Support test rigs across U.S. customer sites, including troubleshooting and service coordination
- Manage service trips, quotes, and solution implementation
