ROLE OVERVIEW :
The Accounting Manager leads a team responsible for ensuring timely, accurate financial transaction processing and reporting. This position blends people leadership, technical accounting expertise, and a focus on process optimization. The manager supports monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities in compliance with US GAAP and collaborates closely with accounting, finance, and operations to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three accounting professionals; manage workload and ensure high-quality deliverables
Oversee monthly and quarterly close activities, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses
Perform moderately complex financial analyses—historical, forecasted, and impact-focused—to support leadership decision-making
Independently research and resolve accounting issues; apply GAAP to determine proper treatment
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors on audit-related requests and issues
Drive special projects addressing complex or non-routine accounting matters
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Prepare and review monthly financial statement analyses
DESIRED BACKGROUND :
Bach elor ’s degree in Accounting or related field required
4+ years of accounting experience (or Master’s degree + 3 years)
CPA preferred but not required
Experience in public accounting a plus
Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial controls
Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Access
