Registered Dental Hygienist

Seeking an experienced, friendly, and patient oriented hygienist for two days per month. Flexible on which days but would prefer one Tuesday and one Thursday or every other Thursday.

Position Summary :

As a key member of our clinical team, the Registered Dental Hygienist will provide comprehensive preventative care, build trusting relationships with patients, and support overall dental health through education and skilled hygiene services. We’re looking for someone with a warm personality, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to make every patient feel comfortable and valued.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis and scaling / root planing) with precision and care
• Conduct oral health assessments and screenings for periodontal disease and oral cancer
• Take digital X-rays and intraoral images as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and preventative care
• Develop strong rapport with patients to create a positive and stress-free experience
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using OpenDental
• Ensure compliance with all infection control and sterilization procedures
• Collaborate with dentists and other team members to support comprehensive treatment plans

Qualifications :

Current and active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in CA

Minimum of [2-5+] years of clinical experience preferred

CPR / BLS certification required

Familiarity with digital charting and dental software (e.g., OpenDental) is a plus

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Gentle, patient-focused approach with a friendly and professional demeanor
