Position Description
The Investment Associate located in Dallas will be a key part of teams that manage multi-asset class client portfolios. In addition, the Investment Associate will have exposure to asset manager diligence projects and will be expected to contribute to broader Firm development.
Client Portfolio Management (Primary Focus) : The Investment Associate will primarily work in teams of three to six people to specify, develop and execute our clients investment strategies. This process will involve, among other things : establishing a long-term asset allocation strategy, analyzing and selecting approved investment funds to achieve this strategy, monitoring portfolio exposures and continuously improving the investment line-up and producing for client meetings to report on investment performance and discuss investment strategy. With support and training, we expect the Investment Associate to grow into a position to be able to attend these meetings and develop relationships with clients.
Business Development (Primary Focus) : As a key member of Dallas-based team, the Investment Associate will be expected to help drive the Firms business development efforts in Texas. This will primarily include contributing to pitch processes for Texas-based prospective clients (e.g., performing preliminary research on investments within the prospective clients existing portfolio, helping to develop a proposed asset allocation and manager lineup for the prospective client, composing pitch decks, contributing to RFPs, and responding to prospective client questions). This could also include helping plan Texas-based brand building initiatives (e.g., client dinners or other events).
Other (Secondary Focus) : As with all other members of the Firm, the Investment Associate will take on other activities and projects that contribute to the success of the business. Examples may include : researching and improving our portfolio construction approach, assisting with business development and / or helping to develop our technological capabilities.
Key responsibilities will be regularly assessed and are subject to change from time to time based on the needs of the business. The individual may be required to work overtime as needed.
