Job Summary

The Personnel Commission announces an OPEN and PROMOTIONAL recruitment. This
recruitment will result in the establishment of one integrated eligibility list. Promotional
candidates will have seniority points added to final passing scores (.25 of a point for every year of classified service up to a maximum of 5 points). This list will be used to fill current and future vacancies and will be active for one year or until canceled. (The names of eligible candidates on the current list will be merged to the new list in accordance with final scores.) There are multiple position open at various sites. These are 7.5 hour/day, 11 month position.

Under general supervision of the Director of Student Services and the professional direction of a California credentialed school nurse, a Licensed Vocational Nurse provides specialized health care services and procedures (SPHCS) to medically fragile students and students with exceptional needs, as well as, general education students.

Requirements / Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Driver's License Copy
• Health (California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN))
• Other (Valid Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification)
