Overview

Maintenance Supervisor

Pay Rate:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Hartford, CT
Shift & Schedule: AM Shift

What we're looking for:*
  • Perform all maintenance and cleaning tasks noted on the checklists and as directed by the facility manager/supervisor to ensure that all dirt, dust, litter and debris are removed from all areas of the facility.
  • Sweep and pick up around the entrances and exits to the garage and stairwells, as well as clean surface area rails, etc. on all levels, the booth, the office, and rest rooms.
  • Empty all trashcans in the garage, the booth, and the office.
  • Responsible for safety and security of company equipment.
  • Paint any and all areas of the facility as directed by the facility manager/supervisor to ensure that all painted surfaces such as poles, signs, doors, walls, curbs, islands, gates, etc. are properly maintained and look neat and clean.
  • Perform tasks such as replace light bulbs as needed or apply oil absorbent to oil spills.
  • Walk garage daily to note and correct any maintenance problems.
  • Check conditions on the ticket splitters, gates, ticket supply, time clock, and other equipment for proper functioning and general appearance.
  • Pick-up and delivery of winter supplies, sand, salt, fuel, power equipment, vehicles, etc.
  • Maintain an inventory of janitorial supplies and submit requests to re-stock supplies as needed.
  • Operate automatic sweepers, scrubbers, outdoor equipment (such as weed eater), lawnmowers, or other electrical tools to repair or construct items, as applicable.
  • Shovel, plow, or blow snow from the entrance or exit ramps and in areas designated by the Facility Manager, as applicable.
  • Resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor.
  • Report any known accidents or violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the local manager in a timely manner.
  • May be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks according to the company’s maintenance checklists.
  • Other special projects as assigned by location management.

Must haves:
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • High school degree or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively both verbally and through written correspondence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, interacting with other employees in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working with the parking customer, providing resolution as needed to customer issues.

Physical Demands:

The employee may be subjected to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in this work environment can range from minimal to moderate.

Lo que estamos buscando:*

  • Barrer y recoger basura en las entradas y salidas del estacionamiento y escaleras, así como limpiar los pasamanos de superficie en todos los niveles, la caseta, la oficina y los baños.
  • Vaciar todos los contenedores de basura del estacionamiento, la caseta y la oficina.
  • Ser responsable de la seguridad y protección del equipo de la empresa.
  • Pintar cualquier área de la instalación según lo indicado por el gerente/supervisor del sitio para asegurar que todas las superficies pintadas (postes, letreros, puertas, paredes, bordillos, islas, portones, etc.) estén bien mantenidas, limpias y en buen estado.
  • Realizar tareas como reemplazar bombillas según sea necesario o aplicar material absorbente en derrames de aceite.
  • Recorrer diariamente el estacionamiento para identificar y corregir cualquier problema de mantenimiento.
  • Verificar el estado y funcionamiento adecuado de divisores de boletos, portones, suministro de boletos, reloj checador y otros equipos, así como su apariencia general.
  • Recoger y entregar suministros de invierno, arena, sal, combustible, equipos eléctricos, vehículos, etc.
  • Mantener un inventario de suministros de limpieza y enviar solicitudes para reabastecimiento cuando sea necesario.
  • Operar barredoras automáticas, fregadoras, equipos exteriores (como desbrozadoras), cortadoras de césped u otras herramientas eléctricas para reparar o construir artículos, según corresponda.
  • Palear, arar o despejar nieve de las rampas de entrada y salida y de las áreas designadas por el Gerente de Instalaciones, según sea necesario.
  • Resolver quejas de clientes de manera independiente o con la ayuda de un supervisor.
  • Reportar oportunamente al gerente local cualquier accidente conocido, violación de políticas de la empresa, riesgos de seguridad o cualquier situación inusual.
  • Completar tareas pequeñas de limpieza o mantenimiento según las listas de verificación de la empresa, cuando lo solicite la gerencia local.
  • Otros proyectos especiales asignados por la gerencia del sitio.

Requisitos:
