3rd Shift : 8 and 12-hour shifts.Rotation every third weekend and holiday.Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you will care for diverse and complex patient populations, including :
Post-operative patients from craniotomy surgeries for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Patients recovering from cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Individuals suffering hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII), our unit offers exposure to the latest in neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.

Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, therapeutic, and compassionate care.Employ clinical judgment, skilled communication, and critical thinking to support optimal patient outcomes.Contribute to a positive patient experience throughout the continuum of care.Why Join Us?

Utilize the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness.Anticipate and recognize significant changes in patient conditions, collaborating with the care team to adapt the care plan as necessary.Implement risk-reduction strategies to enhance patient safety and meet individual learning needs.Coordinate discharge planning with an interdisciplinary approach, applying evidence-based practices.Support shared governance initiatives to enhance processes and improve patient outcomes.Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration among healthcare team members.Promote a culture of safety and report any patient safety events promptly.Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care experiences.Engage in professional activities for self-development and the mentoring of others.Ensure age-appropriate care by demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles.Licensure, Registration, and Certification :
Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association.Education :
Completion of an accredited nursing program.Experience :
Generally requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
