Position Overview :

• The Ideal consultant will have foundational knowledge in electrical and / or HVAC systems and equipment.
• With supervision, the position will perform electrical and mechanical modifications and repairs on systems and equipment within the Cogeneration Systems facility.
• The position will assist senior specialists with installation and evaluation of more complicated systems and / or equipment.
• Cogeneration Systems is part of client Energy Services.
• The primary purpose of Cogeneration Systems is the generation of steam to the various buildings on the University campus and to the client Hospitals.
• Steam is critical to the operations of the University and client Hospitals.
• It is used for heating, cooling, domestic hot water, sterilization of surgical instruments, distilled water production, food preparation and dish washing.
• Cogeneration Systems also generate electricity as a byproduct of steam generation.
• It can presently supply about 30 percent of the peak campus electrical load.

Pay Rate : $24.00-$26.00 / Hour
