Brief Job Overview / Summary

Stockton University’s Digital Studies (DIGI) Program invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning September 1, 2026.

The DIGI program prepares students to become versatile “digital generalists” who think critically, design creatively, and adapt to new technologies in a rapidly evolving digital world.

The successful candidate for this TT position will play a key leadership role in advancing this interdisciplinary program and contribute expertise in areas such as interactive media, coding, design thinking, UI / UX, extended reality (XR), artificial intelligence (AI), or other emerging fields within digital technologies.

Descriptions of Essential Duties / Responsibilities :

• Demonstrate an active research and / or creative agenda that contributes to the field of Digital Studies
• Engage in curriculum development and interdisciplinary collaboration across programs and schools
• Play a leading role in shaping the direction of the Digital Studies program, including developing new courses, mentoring students and colleagues, and building partnerships within and beyond the University
• Teach 24 credits per academic year (typically three 4-credit courses per semester), including Digital Studies and General Studies courses related to their area of expertise
• Actively participate in Program, School and / or University service
