Position Overview :
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients while working under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician. Utilize your skills and training to enhance the well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of patients' health to ensure optimal care.
- Administer medications while closely observing for any adverse reactions.
- Conduct laboratory tests and therapeutic services as required.
- Educate patients and families about their treatment plans, self-care after discharge, and available resources.
- Document patient encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, discharge instructions, and prescriptions as provided by the physician.
- Transcribe orders for laboratory tests, radiology, and medications, ensuring that all patient records are complete for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams and communicate vital information regarding patient status.
- Maintain a safe and alert working environment.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support patient care.
Education Requirements :
Graduation from an accredited nursing school or equivalent necessary for licensure.Experience :
No prior experience required; new graduates are encouraged to apply!Physical Requirements :
Effective communication abilities, both verbal and non-verbal.Frequent standing, walking, and mobility throughout the day.Ability to lift / carry and push / pull objects varying from 0-50 lbs.Occasional patient handling, along with a range of physical movements including bending, kneeling, and twisting.Licensure and Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by a compact state.Work Shift : Day Shift
