About the Practice

The Urgent Care is a five-room clinic providing acute care to patients and families ranging in lower to higher acuity levels. The clinic will see all ages pediatric to geriatric. Point of care lab testing andradiology is available on site. Minor procedures laceration repair suture removal fracture careand complications of underlying conditions such as asthma. Rooming includes chief complaint vital signs and medication / medical history. Medication administration that consists of oral inhalation intramuscular and subcutaneous. We have a small and intimate team. There will be a culture of strong teamwork and flexibility to meet the patients needs. The team strives to make an environment that is fun and enjoyable to come to work!

About Outpatient Clinics

There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

Scope of work

Under the direction of the RN / Mid-level Provider / Physician and in collaboration with other members of the health care team contributes to the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of patient care. Informs patients and families about treatments and medications being received equipment being utilized and other related activities as appropriate in coordination with the RN / Mid-level Provider / Physician. Documents care provided via computer / written patient record in a manner consistent with guidelines.

Qualifications

Required High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Vocational / Technical Graduate of an approved nursing program

MI Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required

AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
