Credentialing Specialist

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Credentialing Specialist.

Position type: Full-time/ Contract
Duration: 3+ months
Location: New York, NY Location are open to all facilities (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens)
Shift: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

As a Credentialing Specialist, you will:
Day to Day Responsibilities
The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for coordinating and completing all aspects of provider credentialing and re-credentialing, including initial appointments, reappointments, credential audits, and clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and all other providers as outlined by corporate policy, procedures, and hospital bylaws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full credentialing and re-credentialing process for all providers.
• Ensure physician and provider license renewals are completed prior to expiration.
• Conduct primary source verification for new and existing providers to meet compliance standards.
• Maintain and update assigned physician/provider files with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Utilize the MDStaff credentialing software for credentialing, background checks, monitoring, and maintaining data integrity.
• Ensure all records are current, complete, and compliant with regulatory and accrediting bodies.
• Maintain consistency in database entries to support standardized and efficient credentialing processes.
• Generate and utilize status alerts, reports, and scanned documentation tools within the credentialing database.
• Provide back-up credentialing support to other members of the credentialing team, as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credentialing regulations, statutes, and accreditation standards.

The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree – Required
• Healthcare field experience – Required
• Strong experience with credentialing processes, compliance standards, and documentation management
• Familiarity with credentialing databases (MDStaff preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $29 - $31 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
