Job Description

Job Title : Pediatric OR Charge RN

Experience : Minimum of 3 years as a Charge RN, 1 year acute care experience, and 6 months pediatric OR experience required.

License : Must possess a valid RN license.

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS

Must-Have :

Strong Charge experience.

No first-time travelers.

No call required.

Experience in pediatric OR settings.

Description :

This position requires a Pediatric OR Charge RN for night shifts.

The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts from 18 : 00 to 06 : 30.

Average daily census is 25 patients per day.

Candidates must have a strong background in charge nursing, with a minimum of 3 years experience required.

Pediatric OR experience is essential, with acceptance of inpatient or ambulatory experience.

Responsibilities include functioning as a break nurse approximately 20% of the time in an 8-hour shift capacity.

Weekend shifts are required, 1-2 weekend days per 6-week schedule.

Patient population includes ENT, Urology, Neuro, General, Ortho, and Trauma cases.

Charting will be done using the designated system.

Special skills required include knowledge of various surgical procedures.

All nurses must adhere to safety protocols including the Universal Protocol for surgical timeouts.

Candidates must comply with vaccination requirements.
