Position Overview
TMD is seeking a Business Developer to join our team in one of our key locations : South Carolina, Sarasota, or Tampa. In this outside sales role, you will focus on driving new business and achieving revenue targets by generating leads, building strong relationships with contractors and other B2B clients, and directing them to our design centers. Once leads are qualified, our dedicated Account Managers will handle quoting, order processing, and efficient product delivery.
This individual must possess a strong execution mindset, who is agile, innovated, and committed to tangible results.
Key Responsibilities
Take the lead in carrying out TMD's strategic business plan by
identifying and pursuing opportunities in specific market sectors to increase market share. This includes tracking and reporting on sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics to leadership.
Achieve and exceed revenue goals
for windows, doors, cabinetry, and millwork sales through targeted outreach, networking, and strategic account development.
Focus on building and maintaining long-term relationships with key clients (primarily contractors) to foster repeat business and referrals, including hosting events and entertaining as needed to strengthen relationships and promote TMD products.
Work closely with internal Account Managers to ensure seamless handoff of leads and provide ongoing support to maintain customer satisfaction.
Effectively position TMD as the preferred supplier with the most competitive and premier products to offer. This includes monitoring industry trends, remaining knowledgeable on new / improved product lines, and staying informed of competitors' activities.
Qualification & Experience
Proven experience in
B2B sales
or business development, preferably in windows, doors, millwork, cabinetry, building materials, or the construction industry.
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Excellent
relationship-building
and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse individuals, from contractors to architects.
Outstanding
communication skills
(verbal and written) – you must be responsive, professional, and ensure customers always feel prioritized.
