The Position
: Enterprise Architect
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for the overall technical solution strategy or proposal development. They own the overall vision for the implementation of technical solutions for Cambria clients. They have a great breadth of knowledge across the technical landscape and are familiar with all assets from infrastructure through all workstreams of the software delivery lifecycle and system implementation and understand how they solve business problems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze system specifications and translate system requirements and technical strategies for the decoupling of integrated systems.
- Author technical design documentation that fully defines all technical approaches and the underlying architecture design.
- Responsible for establishing all possible options for designing and deriving the best solutions based on sound analytical judgment, team input and the customers’ best interest.
- Designing components and architectures to support the segregation or migration of legacy systems and rehosting of current applications to support the isolation of the enterprise systems.
- Analyzing requirements and propose technical and design solutions to clients.
- Perform tasks efficiently and work together with team to ensure project success. Required Skills and Experience
- Position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IS or IT, plus 6 years relevant technical and progressive experience. A Master's Degree in these disciplines or an alternative Engineering discipline with reduced experience will be considered.
- 5-7 years of full life cycle software development and implementing medium-sized to large software systems and components.
- The ability to communicate complex technology principals in business language to promote acceptance and buy in of architectural decisions
- Ability to maintain discipline and execution of enterprise principals through long term delivery
- Ability to communicate the design and implementation of software systems including relevant strengths / weaknesses and reasons for implementation decisions.
- Experience and understanding of SOA, n-tier, Cloud providers and enterprise architecture.
- Experience creating design documentation with use of UML, Use Cases, Data and object modeling.
- Experience with formal software development processes and methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, RUP, SCRUM, or MSF.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
