Process Engineer - Dry Etch

Location : Newport Beach, CA

Salary Range : $100k to $165k

We’re looking for a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll contribute to advanced etch process development, solve complex technical challenges, and support critical manufacturing initiatives in a fast-moving, global environment.

• ? What You’ll Do
• Apply etch process principles, theories, and techniques to support development and manufacturing.
• Lead definable portions of larger projects or independently manage small-scale engineering projects.
• Analyze data, run design-of-experiment (DOE) studies, and develop actionable insights.
• Solve a wide range of complex technical problems using sound engineering judgment.
• Manage multiple tasks with strong organization and adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Collaborate effectively across global teams and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
• Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality technical outputs.
• ? Required Qualifications
• B.S. degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid-State Physics, Electrical Engineering , or a related physical science / engineering field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of etch process principles and related technologies.
• Experience performing DOE studies and data analysis.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Energetic, self-starting, and able to work well in a global team environment.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years etch process engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• Expertise with etch tools such as TEL Unity, AMAT DPS / MXP, LAM 2300 / 9400 / 9600 .
• Experience with wet etch tools including Akrion, DNS, SEZ, Semitool .
• Knowledge of PROMIS or similar manufacturing execution systems.
