Health Aide

We're seeking qualified Health Aides to support residential rehabilitation care in a VA setting-professionals who are compassionate, technically proficient, and ready to make a difference in the lives of veterans.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a residential rehabilitation setting
- Assist with therapeutic and supportive tasks under the supervision of Physicians and clinical staff
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition
- Support patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with VA protocols
- Uphold the highest standards of patient dignity, safety, and confidentiality
Required Qualifications
Certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and / or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificationEducation
High School Diploma requiredMinimum two years of post-secondary education from an accredited institutionAt least 12 semester hours in health sciences, nursing, behavioral science, social science, counseling, teaching, biological sciences, or related fieldsExperience
Minimum one (1) year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation treatment programDemonstrated ability to assist clinical teams in therapeutic care deliveryTechnical Proficiency
Fluent in English (spoken, written, and comprehension)Proficient in computer systems and electronic health records (EHR)Must provide verifiable documentation of education, training, and any gaps in educational historyMust comply with VA Medical Staff By-Laws and facility regulationsResume Requirements
Current resume or CV with three (3) professional references, including most recent supervisorDocumentation of relevant experience and certificationsTraining
