We are currently offering a 1st shift position.PRIMARY DUTIESSupport testing as part of clinical trial assays and contract research agreements.Process blood and tissue samples provided to the laboratory as needed for various projects.Perform macrodissection on FFPE.Record and analyze data to ensure QA / QC at each workflow step; ensures completeness and accuracy of dataExtract and quantify RNA and DNA using manual and automated processes.Prepare extracted RNA and DNA to be tested with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS).Perform NGS testing using manual and automated processes.Interact with other departments, collaborators, and clients in a professional manner.Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.Maintain a clean, safe, well stocked work environment in accordance with molecular standards and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems for tracking and documenting patient samples and processes.Other duties as needed.REQUIRED LICENSURE, EDUCATIONAssociates or higher in Medical Laboratory Technology or related discipline requiredMust have an appropriate, valid NYS professional license prior to startingPay Range : $32.00 - $39.00All job offers will be based on a candidates skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees / certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.Benefits : Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including : Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD / LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
