American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring IL RN license, Epic experience, and Level 1 Trauma exposure.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital settingPatient population includes high acuity and trauma casesEpic EMR is utilized and prior experience is requiredSchedule consists of 12-hour MIDS shifts (11 : 00 AM – 11 : 00 PM), three days per weekIncludes two 13-hour call shifts per 6-week period, with onsite arrival required within one hour during callAll travelers must complete a two-week rotation on night shiftsPrimary responsibilities include patient assessment, developing and implementing care plans, and providing emergency interventionsMaintaining accurate and up-to-date patient documentation in Epic is requiredWorks collaboratively with physicians, peers, and other healthcare team members to provide quality careEnsures patient and staff safety and adheres to department safety standardsRTO (requested time off) is limited to 7 total days per 13-week contractContingent workers may not be on assignment for more than one year; a 6-month break is required before returningNo travel partners are accepted for this assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)Minimum one year of recent ED nursing experience with Level 1 Trauma exposureCurrent BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart AssociationAssociate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferredDocumented Epic charting experience is requiredCandidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted\n Benefits\n
