Compensation:?$30-34/hour + up to 10 hours of overtime available weekly. Employees often earn 1.5x their base pay with overtime pay.



Location:?New Orleans, LA. This role will include a combination of travel, office, home, and field work. Employees can expect to travel nationally and regionally up to 60% each month. The hired employees must live in the general New Orleans area. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate as part of a team to repair or overhaul marine equipment and systems, with a focus on UUC propulsion products, ensuring they meet specifications and tolerances.
• Verify dimensions and clearances to ensure conformity with specifications.
• Conduct tests and inspections according to QA/QC standards.
• Read schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine assembly methods and sequences.
• Inspect, analyze, and record calibration results, producing Service and Technical Reports.
• Report progress and issues to the nearest supervisor.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable legal and Company procedures, including Health & Safety policies.
• Undertake product training as required.
• Assist the Workshop Lead in all workshop activities.
• Support off-site removal and installation of propulsion equipment.
• Provide support to the Workshop in Galveston and other locations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent training in the industry or military.
• Understanding of fundamental Electrical/Electronic control system principles, including PID controllers, filters, and communication protocols.
• Proficient in creating and understanding technical documents.
• Skilled in diagnosing issues in low voltage electrical components, including proficiency with multimeters.
• Preferably experienced with PLC / SCADA systems and their framework.
