Public Safety Officer – Multiple Shifts Available
Are you ready to make a difference in a campus community that values service, professionalism, and care? St. Ambrose University is seeking dedicated Public Safety Officers to join our team. We currently have openings for three shifts (day, evening, and overnight) offering opportunities to serve in a role that truly matters.
As a Public Safety Officer, you'll help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Through proactive patrols, emergency response, and community engagement, you'll be an essential part of our commitment to fostering a secure and inclusive campus.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patrol campus buildings, grounds, and parking areas to promote safety and deter crime
- Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and calls for assistance
- Prepare clear and detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Provide leadership and guidance to student and part-time security personnel
- Engage with the campus community through respectful and visible presence
- Support campus events and maintain readiness for emergencies
Qualifications :
Working Conditions : This position involves both indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions. Officers serve fixed shifts to ensure 24 / 7 campus coverage.
