Coding Specialist

Job Title : Remote Coding Specialist II – CPC / CPT / ICD-10-PCS

Location : Remote

Duration : 3 Months

Education : Graduate of an approved coding program or Health Information Management (HIM) program

Shift Details : Scheduling is between the hours of 5 : 00 am and 10 : 59 pm CST / 40 hours guaranteed

Specific Skills :

• Code and abstract ED, SDS, OPC, OBS, specialty clinic, and inpatient OB / newborn encounters.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM / PCS, CPT, HCPCS, HCC, HEDIS CAT II, E / M , and modifiers per CMS and facility guidelines.
• Ensure 95%+ accuracy and meet productivity standards in a high-volume environment.
• Review documentation, verify charges, and correct discrepancies to support compliant billing.
• Maintain updated knowledge of coding rules, regulations, and CMS updates .
• Collaborate with providers and internal teams to resolve documentation or coding issues.
• Support data integrity, coding quality, and process improvements in a fully remote setting
