Clinical Referral Specialist

A company is looking for a Clinical Referral Specialist I with EPIC scheduling experience desired.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate care for referral orders and facilitate access to medical services

Schedule appointments, including complex specialty appointments, and provide patients with pre and post appointment instructions

Document all scheduling attempts in the patient's electronic health record and notify providers of any changes

Required Qualifications

High School Graduate

Typically requires 1 year of experience in a medical group with a focus on patient care coordination

Experience with EPIC specialty scheduling preferred

Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer requirements

Understanding of medical terminology and clinical processes
