We are hiring a DOT Driver in Midland. The DOT Driver will help keep communities safe and clean. As a DOT Driver you will be responsible for safely operating a collection truck while driving through neighborhoods and communities across the country. You will get the chance to provide reliable, friendly, and consistent service for our customers who rely on us for an essential service.

Key job competencies for a truck driver include : safe driving skills, knowledge of regulations, effective communication, time management, mechanical knowledge, customer service, attention to detail, patience, problem-solving abilities, physical fitness, and the ability to perform pre-trip inspections; all while adhering to strict safety standards and maintaining a clean driving record. Good problem-solving skills to address unexpected issues. Desire to work as a team, while helping and interacting respectfully with each other.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing at times. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 60 pounds. Must be able to frequently climb stairs and ladders. May occasionally deal with heights. Excellent interpersonal skills : ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, employees and managers. Effective conflict resolution abilities. Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form. Ability to read, write and do mathematics. Ability to wear Personal Equipment, including Respiratory Protection. Consist of both office setting and physical jobsite. Able to work in confined spaces when needed.
