[job_card.job_description]Work 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Friday from 12 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM with rotating start times as needed No weekends, no call, and no holidays required Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract Float within scope to ICU, main PACU, PCU, MS, and ER Holding as needed Patient ratios : 1 : 2 (preop may be 1 : 3) for days, nights, and weekends Care for adults, occasional adolescents, and geriatric population in Level 1 trauma center Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, CCRN preferred, TNCC preferred Minimum 2-3 years Level 1 ICU experience required (open to reviewing candidates with over 1 year ICU / ED experience at Level 1 or 2 facility) Must pass Relias EKG exam Navy blue scrubs required Epic charting system experience preferred 40 hours orientation provided Recover surgical patients from neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant Critical care skills required : artificial airways, invasive monitoring (including ICP), transfusions, vasoactive drugs, dysrhythmia recognition, blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV starts, care of ventilated patients Night shift must learn preoperative patient workup procedures High acuity PACU with 80% of patients being admitted to hospital post-procedure Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract Referral bonus

This comprehensive healthcare facility operates as a Magnet and Teaching Hospital with Level I Trauma Center designation, featuring 1,273 staffed beds. The PACU consists of 38 patient bays operating 24 / 7 with an average daily census of 70-90 patients. The facility provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams. The unit maintains its own PCT / transport team and offers comprehensive surgical services for a wide of acute post-operative patients requiring high-level critical care.
