Description : What Will You Do?

The Territory Manager is responsible for managing sales of commercial golf new and pre-owned equipment, golf irrigation sales, parts, financing and protection plans in the Export sales region : Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and the rest of the Export region. Establishing and maintaining customer relationships within their respective territory including but not limited to, golf course superintendents, club presidents, board of directors, owners, general managers, club controllers, assistant superintendents, green committee members, equipment managers, spray technicians as well as Wesco Turf vendors. Establishing and maintaining relationships with industry influencers within their territory including but not limited to contractors, irrigation designers, vendors, and golf course architects.

To grow and build a successful career with Wesco / Hector Turf, you will be responsible for :

Dimensions

  • Territory consists of all golf accounts within their respective territories and regions.
  • Responsible for sales of $12,000,000 - $15,000,000
  • Customer base consists of existing golf courses; municipal, public and private, as well as any new golf related projects in their respective territories

Compensation Package - Base Salary / Bonuses / Other Incentives

  • Base Salary : $75,000 - 90,000 / year
  • Eligible for a companywide bonus that is dependent on the company meeting performance goals. Equivalent to 0 - 3 weeks of additional pay, prorated for your first year.
  • Additional opportunity to earn up 30% of annual salary.

  • Accountabilities

  • Achievement of annual sales budget
  • Manage key account relationships within the golf industry and territory
  • Assists in development of the business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate competitive accounts
  • Completion of weekly activity reports and expense reports
  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Demonstrate new products and train end user on proper operation of new equipment, submits demo and loaner requests accurately and timely
  • Prepare and present sales presentations to golf customers
  • Prepares accurate and timely quotations
  • Maintain favorable relations with Toro and vendor partners to ensure viability and profitability of division
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Travel extensively with overnight stays throughout the sales territory – Approximately 50%
  • Travel stateside with overnight stays for various conferences, trainings, etc.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Work closely with dedicated Technical Representative

    Competitive Salary – In addition to their base pay, employees are eligible for our company-wide bonus that is dependent on Wesco meeting our sales goals. We have met these goals every year for the past 10 years, the bonus is equivalent to 0-3 weeks of additional pay and is prorated for your first year. Territory Managers are eligible to earn up to 30% of their annual salary and receive a company vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and reimbursed expenses.

On August 1st, 2022, Wesco acquired Hector Turf located in Deerfield Beach, FL, expanding our market to include from Vero Beach to Key West, including the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and the Caribbean Islands. Wesco Turf has the following locations : Sarasota, Deerfield Beach, Lake Mary, and Jacksonville, Florida.

    Requirements : What Do You Need?

    To be considered for this role, a candidate should meet the following requirements :

  • Must have excellent selling and customer service skills
  • Must be good with people, extremely tactful and professional
  • Must be able to present in front of groups
  • Good understanding of the Sales Process
  • Must maintain Toro Sales Percipio Training requirements annually
  • Must live in the state of Florida or will relocate in the first 90 days of employment
  • Valid passport
  • SCPS Certification (required within the first year in position)
  • Requires a college degree or a minimum of 5-years experience in a related field
  • Previous outside sales experience
  • Turf equipment and / or agronomy experience a plus
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to understand and communicate in Spanish.
