We have partnered with a services firm on their search for a Staff Accountant – Operations with proven Multi-GL experience. The responsibilities for this Staff Accountant - Operations role consist of supporting day-to-day accounting activities that directly impact operational performance. In this role, you will assisting with accounts payable / receivable activities, reviewing general ledger accounts, assisting with monthly account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, assisting with bank reconciliations, and participating in the development and tracking of budgets. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, highly organized, excellent time-management and strong budgeting / forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.

  • Support daily accounting functions
  • Month End / Year End Close
  • Preparing monthly financial statements
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Monitor and analyze general ledger accounts
  • Database Management
  • General ledger account reconciliation
  • Automation, Process Improvement
  • Ad hoc special projects as requested

The ideal Staff Accountant - Operations will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.

Other requirements for the Staff Accountant - Operations role include and are not limited to :

  • 3+ years of GL experience, preferably in construction / engineering / project -based industry
  • Any analytical experience a PLUS
  • Advanced MS Excel REQUIRED : NetSuite a big plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines
