Performs a variety of specialized / complex laboratory tests and analyses under minimal supervision by applying standard techniques and analytical principles.Assists with daily quality control checks and ensure laboratory work compliance with set standards.Assists in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.Oversees and performs mentoring, training, and onboarding of previous level employees.May participate in the interview and hiring process for prospective staff for the lab practice as requested by management.Contributes to the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and SOPs.Participates in laboratory coordination / management functions to assist supervisor.Oversees Lab supplies inventory and assists to place order as needed.Oversees waste management process and ensures compliance with regulations.Maintains appropriate files and records on assigned laboratory work projects, and prepares periodic reports as required.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science or Medical TechnologyAcademic degree in Medical TechnologyNYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license requiredThree (3) years' experience as a Lab Technologist with supervisory role experience preferredKnowledge of Federal (CLIA) and NYS Regulatory requirementsFamiliarity with automated laboratory equipmentProficient in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel and OutlookComputer literacy and experience with Laboratory Information SystemsStrong analytical judgement and problem-solving skillsMathematic and measurement skillsExcellent verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team environmentHighly proficient in training and mentoringBilingual (English and Chinese) preferredRendr is an equal opportunity employer.
