The City of Branson is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a Firefighter Trainee.

This entry-level position provides hands-on training and the opportunity to attend an accredited Fire Academy,

preparing you to become a certified firefighterand a vital part of keeping our community safe.

To be considered, you'll need :

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.
• Be a U.S. Citizen.
• Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage, when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
• Meet NFPA 1582 minimum requirements for medical qualifications that firefighters must meet to perform their duties safely, and medical disqualifications that could prevent a firefighter from performing their duties safely.
• Vision must be correctable to 20 / 40; must pass the Ishihara color vision test and / or be able to recognize the colors of traffic signals and devices showing red, green and amber.
• Be able to meet established hearing standards.
• Meet the City of Branson Employee Appearance at Work policy with Tattoos, Scarification, Body Art, and Body Modifications.
• Successfully complete a background investigation, drug and alcohol screenings, a pulmonary fitness (PFT) screening, psychological, and medical / physical examinations.
