Controls Sales Representative
Automated Logic, a company that has been developing and supporting intelligent building solutions for over 40 years, is looking for a Controls Sales Representative. This role is crucial to the business as it will help expand ALC's customer base and exceed sales targets. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building relationships, and has outstanding customer service. This role will provide the opportunity to grow your clientele and help coach less experienced sales specialists.
Key responsibilities include managing and growing assigned territory and group of accounts, developing long-term relationships and building partnerships, positioning Automated Logic as the preferred basis of building automation design, performing take-offs and bid projects, negotiating with contractors, making and delivering compelling presentations, utilizing sales tools effectively, generating a high level of activity to feed the sales pipeline, collaborating and communicating effectively with external customers and internal staff, and acting as customers' advocate.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of controls sales experience or experience with commercial HVAC, and a valid driver's license. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, business, or related field, 5+ years of experience with HVAC controls or HVAC sales, ability to value engineer control designs with alternative solutions, proficiency in Microsoft 360 applications, strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, ability to communicate effectively at all levels, and being a team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects.
