Summary
The Dayton, Ohio Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting a well-qualified Physiatrist under the direct administrative supervision of the PM&R Service Chief. The position includes clinical services to veterans across all PM&R clinics.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salary with annual performance bonus and regular salary increases.
Paid Time Off : 50‑55 days per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and up to 5 days paid absence for CME).
Retirement : Traditional federal pension (5‑year vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% VA contribution.
Insurance : Federal health, vision, dental, term life, long‑term care (many programs carried into retirement).
Licensure : One full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory.
CME : Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (full‑time board‑certified).

Contract : No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Basic Requirements :
Preferred Experience : Board‑certified Physiatrist with experience in Pain Management and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Physical Requirements
The role involves occasional lifting, prolonged standing and sitting, frequent bending, walking (distance), climbing, reaching (overhead, extensive / repetitive), repetitive motion, and stooping. Mental / sensory requirements include recall, reasoning, problem‑solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, and logical thinking. The pace can range from steady to fast with frequent, sometimes intense customer interactions, requiring adaptation to rapid changes and occasional PPE use.
