the largest US manufacturer of roller coasters and thrill rides, is seeking a full-time Blast / Prep Laborer to provide support to the Paint Department.

Job Summary

The Blast / Prep Laborer will work in the blast bay, shot / sand blasting metal fabricated parts and components used for S&S Worldwide Inc.' amusement park rides. The Blast / Prep Laborer will also prepare fiberglass, steel, aluminum, and other materials for painting. In addition, the Blast / Prep Laborer will mask / unmask parts and load / unload paint racks. Efficiently and safely use a forklift and overhead crane, multiple times / day. The position also requires good attention to detail and a proven record of excellent attendance and work performance.

Responsibilities

• Works in a blast booth environment wearing proper safety equipment
• Sets up, operates, and cleans shot / sand blasting equipment, loads machine hopper with abrasives such as shot or sand
• Apply masking materials to protect designated areas from abrasive action
• Apply masking materials to protect areas from being painted
• Cleans the blasted material of any extra grit after completion of blasting surface
• Safely and efficiently use a forklift and overhead crane (S&S will provide training and certification for both)
• Other duties as assigned
