Position Summary :

The Nurse Manager will lead, develop, and oversee the nursing and antigen teams in our allergy and asthma practice. This position requires a strong leader with expertise in allergy, asthma, and immunologic disorders, and a deep understanding of best practice guidelines for patient care. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, driving continuous quality improvement, and promoting a culture of collaboration and professional development within the team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Nursing Leadership & Staff Development : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of nurses, medical assistants, and antigen technicians. Foster a positive and supportive work environment where staff are encouraged to grow professionally and maintain high standards of patient care. Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and facilitate skill competency testing and ongoing development. Act as a resource for staff, particularly during orientation, and provide mentorship throughout their careers.
• Clinical Oversight & Expertise : Ensure that clinical practices meet the highest standards in allergy and asthma care, including the ability to become proficient in Spirometry, FeNO testing, nebulization / inhaled treatments, allergy testing, and allergy immunotherapy injections. Oversee clinical procedures, ensuring that staff follow best practices and regulatory guidelines for patient care. Take responsibility for maintaining the safety and quality of care delivered in the antigen lab, adhering to proper mixing guidelines, sterilization and infection prevention protocols.
• Regulatory Compliance & Policy Development : Ensure that all clinical activities are in compliance with the California Nurse Practice Act, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulations. Regularly review and revise clinic policies and procedures to ensure they align with current regulatory requirements and best practices. Ensure staff are trained in infection prevention and bloodborne pathogen control.
• Team Collaboration & Communication : Collaborate closely with physicians, administrative staff, nursing staff and antigen staff to ensure the seamless delivery of patient care across disciplines. Maintain open communication channels with Regional Leads, Nurse Leads, Antigen Leads and other staff, ensuring all team members are

informed and supported. Cultivate a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and respect throughout the practice.

Oversee and maintain appropriate staffing levels and lead the recruitment process by interviewing candidates to fill staffing gaps. Review timecards prior to payroll processing to ensure accurate reporting of hours worked, adherence to designated lunch and break periods, and resolution of any unapproved overtime. Conduct annual performance evaluations, utilizing feedback gathered throughout the year from leadership and providers. Uphold performance benchmarks by implementing performance improvement plans with staff as needed.

Qualifications :

o Current California RN license is required with either an associates or bachelor's in nursing.

o CPR / BLS certification is required.

o 1 year of clinical nursing experience with leadership or management experience.

o A solid understanding of allergy and asthma care is preferred.

o Proven ability to manage and develop clinical nursing teams in an outpatient setting.

o Strong understanding of nursing management processes, performance evaluations, and regulatory compliance.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, patients, and interdisciplinary team members.

o Strong leadership and management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and guide nursing and support staff.

o Ability to effectively delegate tasks, supervise clinical procedures, and manage workflow based on staff competencies.

o Knowledge of infection control procedures and regulatory requirements.

o Proven experience with data collection and utilizing evidence-based practices to drive quality improvement.
