Real Estate Associate (Midlevel, 3–6 Years)

Location : Charleston, South Carolina

Compensation : $225,000 – $280,000 annually (DOE)

About the Role

Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a midlevel associate to join its Real Estate Practice Group in Charleston, SC. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated commercial real estate and resort / hospitality transactions across the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean. Candidates will have the chance to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact while working closely with experienced attorneys who provide active mentorship.

Qualifications

3–6 years of transactional drafting experience

Experience with purchase and sale agreements, real estate lending documentation, and real estate development documentation

Background in resort and hospitality transactions strongly preferred

Prior experience in a sophisticated law firm practice highly desirable

Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Commitment to delivering the highest quality client service
